GoodWarrior is a Marin County based educational program that promotes volunteerism, philanthropy and social responsibility among children ages 7-14.  We do this through organized service learning opportunities, special events and awareness campaigns.  Good Warrior teaches children how to be resourceful, collaborative and pioneering.

Combining a spirit of generosity with a spirit of entrepreneurship, Good Warriors build a broad skill set while making an impact on their world.

Good Warrior was conceived in 2005 to engage younger children in community service.  Like learning a forgein language or a musical instrument, the younger children begin to practice these skills, the more they become lifelong habits.  Character education principles are as central to this work as the service itself.  Putting values into action is what Good Warrior is all about.

Drawing on a background in education and non profit program management, founder Ruth McDaniels has an interest in teaching the whole child about values, service and change.  Children of all ages can give back in meaningful ways.  With support and guidance, children can learn to identify what's important to them and use their resources to make a positive impact.

The concept of Good Warrior has been years in the making.  The current model is designed as a pilot program for elementary and middle school students in Marin County.  We welcome your feedback and will grow and adjust to meet the needs of our community and our members.

Join us and BE A GOOD WARRIOR!
